Is there a Gossamer product that allows you to integrate News on your Home page? (with the categories)

Some people are annoyed by navigating too many layers of a hierarchy. Is there a way of using frames to display the navigation of categories on the left frame, then the content on a large right frame? Kinda the way MS IE does when you click favorites on your toolbar.
