Has anyone gotten this error before?

GT::SQL::error = Failed to execute query: 'SELECT CategoryID,COUNT(*)FROM lsql_CatLinks WHERE LinkID IN (LOTS OF ID NUMBERS HERE) GROUP BY CategoryID': MySQL server has gone away
