I started to translate all the templates in french and I realized that it takes a lot of time to find all the english words and texts in the html code. For the next version of GForum, is it possible that all the english texts and words in the templates (in html code) be in language variables? That would be much easier to translate all the templates and to update the templates when a new version is released. I'm afraid now that when I will want to use the new templates of a next version of Gforum that I will have to translate again all the english texts and words...

small twist on this request.
what happens -- in this type of situation. DO you have to use the internal editor ??
If you do this would take ages just to reload each and every template.
Can you just drop the edited templates into the local directory ???
openoffice + gimp + sketch ...

you don't have to use the internal editor, you can use any editor you want. But: make sure you don't edit the files in the templates/templatename directory itself, put the edited templates into the templates/templatename/local directory (as you said).
