File Manager
Hi,

I've been playing with DBman and created most of the things I wanted to achieve. However another project I was thinking DBman SQL might be able to handle is a File Manager. Here's what I need for this. Maybe someone can tell me if this is all possible in DBman SQL.
  • User logins with access to download files only allocated to them by the admin.
  • Upload of zip and PDF files by administrator into groups.
  • Title, Description and Screenshot for each file.
  • Delete/modify files and corresponding description.

I have looked at the demo of DBman SQL and its seems most of this might be possible but Im not sure about how the uploading is handled. Can DBman SQL create directories on the server for files or would it just put all files in one directory?.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

DBMan SQL can handle most of your cases, except:

It is impossible, but it can manage groups with access to download files allocated to them instead of users.

Delete/modify files

It is requried a custom job to add code of editing a file.

All files will be put in the same directory.
