I just tried to download and install a database driver and database interface module for mysql from cpan.
Two different problems are encountered. The first is that there seems to be millions of DBDs and DBIs, so which is the one I need to run with mysql 5.0?
The second problem is that they are all tar.gz files and when I try to open one it I get the message 'Error reading header after processing 0 entries' which is really helpful.
I tried saving it to disk and renaming it so that the header is definitely either .tar.gz or tgz but it still refuses to open. Tried it on two machines with same result. I am using winzip 10 evaluation.
