Internal 500 Server error ....
Well, I do get that error.
http://www.jaeger.ch/cgi-bin/jaeger/db.cgi

The script is running on an NT server. So I can't have set the permissions wrong. And I uploaded all the files in ASCII format.

Any suggestions?
Have a look at db.cgi:
http://www.jaeger.ch/cgi-bin/jaeger/db.txt
and default.cfg:
http://www.jaeger.ch/cgi-bin/jaeger/default.txt

Yeah, ummm, what browser are you using JPDeni? With IE 5 you get that message, that it can't find it. But in the titlebar is written: HTTP 500 Internal Server error.
Can't you even look at the text files I've put up? It works for me!

stumbles: I've already tried to do it with pl. But it didn't work. You can see the error in an earlier post: NT error...

hmm...

I finally got through. When I tried to access db.cgi, I got a page that said

%1 is not a valid Windows NT application

In your db.cgi script I saw that you had set

$db_script_path = "/jaeger-ch/cgi-bin/jaeger";

Did you try it with

$db_script_path = ".";

(I know you've posted a lot, but I forget who did what and had which problems. Smile )

I see from your .cfg file that you have your own fields set up. Did you try to install the script using the demo .cfg file? I usually suggest that people get that running first before they set up their own database.

Have you used cgi scripts on this server before?

I wasn't able to connect to your server at all. I'll try again later.

Heyo,
hmm...that's nice. I get an 500 Server error, and you can see the NT error.

Well, yes I've already tried:
$db_script_path = ".";

(I know you've posted a lot, but I forget who did what and had which problems. )
Hey cool, I think you're pretty nice to help all this people here out with your hints.

Okay, I've put up a new database. With no special fields and entries. Just the current DBMan.
http://www.jaeger.ch/cgi-bin/dbman2/db.cgi
http://www.jaeger.ch/cgi-bin/dbman2/db.txt
http://www.jaeger.ch/cgi-bin/dbman2/default.txt

hmmm, no I've never used cgi scripts on THIS server. Well I've already installed DbMan on a UNIX server. And it worked kinda good. But now ...
I should try another script, right?
DO you know an easy script for WinNT?

Thanks Jimmy

No, I'm not saying you should try another script. It's just that, if you had, you might already have some experience with how the server works.

I see that Katana Man is helping you in the other thread. He knows much more about WinNT than I do. I think I'm gonna defer to him.
