Basically, i need to import an existing membership database into DBMAN and allow users
edit only their own record.

How do i configure the file and the software so that when the member uses the database:

1) the password from the .htaccess file is passed to DBMAN (to eliminate a second
password request)
2) the user may only modify his own file
3) the secretary of the chapter may modify all files in their
chapter only.

.) sorry don't for sure but please try the resource area here at G.T., JPdeni's ... I don't think she has a specific mod for this, or the unofficial FAQ area ... (probably this will be your best bet)

2.) default.cfg has permissions that will allow this ... for more help with this visit JPDeni's site.

3.) either through the #2 above or use JPDeni's mod to add an extra permission level ... it's a little involved but should provide a solution for this ... but I'd still try sticking with #2's choice of modify own ... if it's only a secretary then multiple levels of permissions won't be needed and 1 group using the same password might not be a problem .....
