I have some problems with upload modification. When file is uploaded it has same size as original, but some chars are not identical. I think it is a problem with translitiration. May be I must to do some changes in Apache configuration (.htaccess, AddType).

Since dbman doesn't do any translation, it's a guess that the problem is with settings on your server. You might check with your host provider on identifying the cause of the problem.

Do you have an example of the characters which are not displaying properly? Perhaps it could be a matter of characters which perl recognizes as special characters and is treating differently.
