Can DBMan do this?
Hello. I have a simple database of users who each have a unique registration number and email address. I would like to provide a form on my website that would allow users to input their email address and have an email sent to them with their registration number. Can DBMan do this?

If so, I'm not necessarily asking for help on how this can be done. Right now, I just want to know if can be done, before I go any further.

I'll install DBMan and see if I can figure it out myself, unless some nice caring person wants to help me. :)

Yep...through the Secure Password Lookup Mod...but not out-of-the-box.

The database will create a unique tracking or Record ID, but are you wanting a specific registration number added?

You can setup your database so that when a user entered a record it will email a copy of the record to the user which could be what you are looking to do.

There are many useful tips and tricks posted in the FAQ noted below. Look under the section for "Email" for how to send a copy of a record. There is also threads under "Admi nistration & Setup for creating extended ID numbers.

I don't see how the secure password lookup corresponds to your question.

Hope this helps,
