Many users forget to fill out the second part of their email address (especially the AOL users). It is possible to put something in the "default" of the field in the config file to check that the user has entered, at less, a @ in the email address field.
The same way as formail does ?

The expression that formmail uses is an extreme expression!

The best way to make sure an email address is in the proper format is to put

.+\@.+\..+

as the valid expression for the email field.
