We are using the multiple file upload mod to add PDF files to records. It works great, except that many of the PDF files have very long (80 plus characters) and irregular names with spaces, parentheses, dots, etc.

These tend to cause linking problems.

I'd like to add a field that we could use to provide a linking name for the file, the actual url of which would be much simpler (1.pdf, etc.)

Any idea how I might modify the mod to do this?
