&ID=1 search returns more than wanted

&ID=1 search returns more than wanted
I'm trying to create a URL search query that will return only one record.

My ID field is defined as numeric. When I include &ID=1 to get record number 1 that's fine, until the table has more than 9 records. Then I get anything with a 1 in it, or perhaps with 1 at the beginning of the numeric.

I really only want the one record. (And in other queries I'll want to be able to request a different single record.) How should I address that?

That's Perl for you, always thinking ahead! Smile

It should be as simple as checking the whole word option or adding &ww=1 or &ww=on to the search string.

Thanks! Somehow my mind doesn't let me think in terms of "Whole Word" when I want the whole NUMBER!

Duh!

I needed the wake up call. Thanks.
