I have one database of "inventory" and i want to have another interface with its own database that allows reservation of the equipment in that database. I would like to implement a pull down list of sorts that is filled with some fields of the inventory database so the user can easily select an item in inventory to reserver for his use. How could this be accomplished?

You want the fancy_build_select from other db mod. Check Lois's FAQ (see any of her posts for URL) it will be located there.
