Secure Password Lookup HELP!
I had some custom work completed by an outside source back in 2001. The work involved allowing the new user to signup and choose their own UserID and Password, along with their email address, and then upon submission would auto-matically take them to the "add" page.

Since then the company that I used to do this - has gone out of business. I need to have this changed as too many signups are now using bogus email addresses. What I need is for new users when signing up to enter their userID, email address... the system would generate a random password for them and send it to the address they submitted. They would not be given access unless they actually submitted a valid email address and received the email which contained their login information.

Any ideas on how I could complete this myself? Or if anyone is interested in making a little $$ to complete this - please respond.

TIA,

Donm

I'm sure if you follow the instructions provided with the secure password lookup mod you should be able to easily make the changes to accomplish our goal.

It would be a good idea to make backup copies of your files first and test them before overwriting your current files.

The mod should be available on JPDeni's site at http://jpdeni.com/dbman/
