I've done a few searches for this topic, but couldn't find anything. Here goes:

My scenario is I have news page, and I have categories of newsletter, general, events, etc.
I want to make a link to search for newsletter where the issue is equal to say, 2, AND category is equal to newsletter, general, events, etc.
The purpose os to show our monthly newsletter from the database, but also any other news items that are current.
The URL at the moment is ...db=news&issue=2
Is it possible to show only newsletters where the issue is equal to 2, and all other items?

I must be be understanding you correctly, because as I read what you want, this seems to be just a regular search. Can you give me a specific example of what you want to search for?
