I'm trying to implement some kind of rate it function (similar to Links' Rate it) to DBman but I can't. I know I posted this some time ago but nobody answered and I tried to do it myself without any success. I'm learning but I'm still a newbie to Perl. Could someone help me please? Thanks!

I don't know how the "Rate It" works in Links. I haven't looked at the code closely and I don't use a rating system for the version of Links that I use.

I guess, though, you would need to keep track of the number of votes and the total number of rating points.

I just looked at the Links script and I'm still not sure how everything works. For one thing, it seems that there is a file created for every record to keep track of the IP address of every "rater." I'm not sure if that file is created at the time the record is added or if it's just created when someone rates the record.

Possibly someone else will have some ideas for you.
