Sorry for the new thread, but the Reply box was not working. The Formatting commands appeared in the text area and no cursor would appear! Strange.

Have you thought about removing the Modify menu item from the footer, then applying a Modify link to each record displayed? I use this method in a database, but have not needed to differentiate between records yet. Maybe I will try it.

Then maybe you can use your test for displaying each link.
