Is there a way for perl to find the physical size (in pixels) of an image. I have seen it done, just don't know if it was perl.

I did find something to do what you want, but it requires another module (or two) to be installed on your system. You can get the info at
http://www.wizards.dupont.com/cristy/www/perl.html

If you ever run across anything that doesn't require extra modules to do it, I'd love to see it.
