I reposted this because I never received a response. I know everyone is busy and I appreciate all efforts.
The archive mod found at Carol's site is very necessary for my application. Here is my problem.
I got the mod to work. I can select entries and archive them. They become deleted from the main database. However, when I use the unarchive function and try to bring an archived record back into the main database, I get a message that the record could not be found.
So what I did then was used my FTP client to view the archive database file (archive.db). All that is in the file are | delimeters without any info in between the delimiters. What could be the problem? Please help...I need this function!
I read about a similar problem in thread:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/scripts/forum/resources/Forum5/HTML/000571.html
However, it did not help me. I think this post was before Carol wrote her archive mod. Therefore, I had trouble relating the coding.
Please help this CGI/Perl novice! Thanks again in advance!
PS:
Forgot to tell you - I am only experimenting with the original download file for DBman, so if the answer to this issue pertains the fields defined, I am using all of the defaults - ID, Title, URL, Type, Date, etc.
