Adding New Items to Select Fields

Adding New Items to Select Fields
Hi,
I run a fiction database for a group of writes and have DBMAN set up so I can easily add new fic, the only problem I no longer have a lot of time to work on it and have recruited a few of the other members to help me out.

Now I have the Author field as a select field and every time I added a new author I would go in to the script and add a new author manually, the only problem is I don't trust any of the others enough with Perl to let them try it.

So I was wondering if there is a way I can set up some sort of add new author thing that lets me add in another author without going into the code?

Thanks,
Andy

Hey,
Thanks I might be able to sort something out with that but it doesnt really help me out a lot, you see on the front page of DB I have a list of authors that is generated automaticly and if I do it your way I'll still have to go in and play with the code to add to the quick list.

The idea within that thread is to be able to automatically add to the select field within the database.

If the value is saved within the database it would then be available in your automated list on your home page.

There are a few threads related to doing this, you might want to check in the FAQ under the section "Fields".
