Since I have installed the short/long display users cannot search the database using fields on the search page. For example: I type in the field "ID" - 1 or 2 and I receive "There were problems with the search. Reason: no matching records.
Please fix any errors and submit the record again."

If I use the keyword search I get my search reults.



I know, that it is all does not work owing to use of short/long diplay because by using "short display" there are no my field values more. For example: in my short display I haven't "ID" field. So it cannot be scanned by "sub query".

I made two kinds of "search" in html.pl :

1. keyword search

2.field search

But what should I change in "sub query" in db.cgi to make this worked propertly????

Or do someone knows another way to solve this problem?????

I dont't want to have an advanced search page. I have problems with searching on my database, because of using short/long display:

If I go to search page and try to make keyword search----it works!

But if I make the same with field search: for example I type in ID field "1" or type in Title field "Access"(I have this word 100% in my database) I receive: "There were problems with the search. Reason: no matching records. Please fix any errors and submit the record again."

It occurs as if this record in general is not present in my database.

What should I do to solve this problem?

There must be a problem somewhere in your database files.

it's hard to guess where the problem may be without seeing your files. Perhaps you can make a .txt copy of your html.pl, and .cfg file and post the url to where they can be viewed.
