add a mysql general forum
how about adding a general forum devoted to mysql, like the perl and cgi forum.

it's hard to crack into mysql, and i think a dedicated forum would be very helpful and get a lot of mileage.

Definitely a good idea! I'm in the process of learning too, but I have picked up several methods and ideas that may help others.
