Suggestion: Differentiate LinksSQL_Perl from LinksSQL_PHP
Hi

The 2 Links SQL versions, Perl and PHP, are so closely named that I can see a day when it could get confusing figuring out which release is which:

Links SQL 2.0.5
Links SQL 2.1.0 BETA 2

2.1.0 looks like an extension of 2.0.5

It would be better if they were named something like the following just for the sake of clarity:

LinksSQL_Perl 2.0.5
LinksSQL_PHP 2.1.0 BETA 2

Okay, my dime has run out - Ciao!

You shouldn't think of Links SQL 2.1.0 as being a PHP version. It's just that we happened to add support for the PHP front end in v2.1.0 (as well as other enhancements and bug fixes). So with the addition of the PHP front end, Links SQL 2.1.0 now has 3 modes of operation:
1) static mode (ie. building the pages)
2) dynamic mode using Perl CGI
3) dynamic mode using PHP
Apart from the few differences between 2) and 3) (because of the language differences), they essentially do the same thing. Adding the PHP frontend just makes it easier for people whose sites mainly use PHP.

I get it. Thanks for clearing that up, Adrian. I'll plug in 2.1.0 as soon as I can.

Much appreciated.
