I did ask the question in pre-sales and got something of an answer. Read the globals mods section however the answers all seem somewhat vague and a little disjointed.

Is there a definitive way that has been proven to work to either:

1. rebuild the links index page as the site main page without putting the whole links into the root.
2. or, a format, a page that is a template that is a main site page or whatever that can pull the info from the database as updated to have the same info as the links generated main page.

Hope the issue can be put to bed forever with a definitive answer from you college boys with the computer science degrees.
