I have a site with a business directory that is currently hand coded, and out of date. I want to replace it with a database driven system so that users can add and amend their own entries.
Each record will contain the following fields:
Basic info:
Company
Contact
Forum name
Address
Country
Region
Phone
Fax
Mobile
Email
Web
Short description
Detail info:
Long description
Pictures
I also want to have two levels of paid-for entry:
- Trade Plus, with bold entry and detail page
- Sponsor, as Trade Plus but with entry at top of category list
The site already uses vBulletin 3 and the directory will need to integrate with this for user management. User signup and admin will continue to be handled by VB.
As well as user authentication via vBulletin I will require the paid-for entries to be controlled by vBulletin user groups.
I have a copy of LinksSQL, but so far haven't managed to find the time or inclination to get to grips with it.
Any thoughts?
John
