remembers username/password
When I registered to post my postings at the forum, it gave me option to save my username and password. Now every time I have to post something new, it automatically enters both.

I want to offer same feature so returning visitors don't have to enter their address, phone #, etc. every time they fill-up my form.
Please, tell me how can I do that?

With best regards,
Josh.

Josh,

It's being done with the use of 'cookies'. The information is stored in your Temp Folder. hen you go to a page to add a post here, the script looks for the cookie, gets the info and put it in the form.

It's not that hard to do, it's jsut that you would have to have that page that your form on be called by a script, ie. 'not be static'.

On a lighter note, Microsot IE 5.0 has automatic 'fill in'. Once you have filled out a form, next time you do, it give you the drop down option to plug in what you once typed in earlier, I know that doesnt help all of your users but it it will help proably about half once it officially comes out.

Give this page a look and they might have a script you can use.
