foo, bar, quux?
Just curious... why are 'foo', 'bar', and 'quux' used in example Perl code all the time?

Happy Coding,

That's a good question. I know that in World War II Fubar (F**ked Up Beyond All Repair) was popular slang word...it later became foobar. Also, ever here of foo fighers(not the band)...that is another word for ufo's. I guess foo and bar are really just a catch all word that can mean anything.

Paul

Very good question...I believe as others have stated...they are generic words used as code examples...

There are, of course, two Perl modules:

FOO::FOO
FOO::BAR

within the Apache Dispatch library.
