where can i get perl script (freeware of course) that can act to fetch headline or any text from other server ?

I've read another posting maybe same as my posting but i have no clue to fetch or something like that from other server.

my friend finally got this http://ku.rindu.net runs on his server. this website grab everything from another site and display it on his site.

but he secretly didn't tell me how to it !!!
