Hmm ok I posted this question in this forum about an hour ago and it has disappeared Crazy

Does anyone know how to convert zip files into tar files?

Does pkzip work on UNIX servers? If so, how about using a pkzip command, and then using the gzip to re-zip em in .tag.gz format? Im not completly sure if there is a .zip program on UNIX systems, but i would be very surprised if there wasnt one somewhere on the net, and then just put it on your server.

Dont blame me if im wrong, cos im having a complete guess on this one Crazy

That would be no since zip files are for Windows and tar(gz) are *nix

Err because Winzip was programmed to do that, but not to convert zips into tar files which is what I need.

Most linux systems have unzip, which you can use to unzip files. Just a matter of unziping them, and then re .tar.gz them afterwards.
