I am looking for a good resource to learn how to use things like CRON and how to add PERL modules to my server. It really has to be basic because I have no UNIX experience. Anyone know of someplace?

There's an excellent tutorial on CRON in the Links FAQ here on Gossamer Threads. Go to http://www.gossamer-threads.com/scripts/resources/Detailed/244.html and look at step 2.

CPAN has instructions on how to add modules, usually with the documentation for the modules themselves. CPAN is at http://www.cpan.org/
