Search Domain in search engine?
Hi all,

Could anyone please tell me how to search the exactly domain name in google, altavista, lycos, northernlight?

If I try to search with gossamer-threads.com it will return :
google.com : 69100, lycos: 0, altavista : 169177, northernlight: 170682.

Thanks as always,

Beck

Goole can do this (as does every other search engine, probably). Try the search string:

your search string site:gossamer-threads.com

That would look up 'your search string' restricting results to the domain 'gosaamer-threads.com'.

More information can be found here:

Well, if you check thoroughly, it just returns 2 (two) links from gossamer-threads.com itself.

Hi all,

What I want is I write a script that count exactly how may links(threads.com) google returns? But it returns also gossamer-threads.com.

Please advise.

There's one such script by CGIBiz. I used it for a while, but it consumes quite a lot of system resources:
