Has anyone ever noticed that text fields are slightly shorter than password fields?

It is so annoying when you are tryng to make a neat design ;)

What context? You can adjust the field size attribute for either field type...May be an example of what you are talking about would help.

Nope that doesn't work.

Image => tf1.jpg .....no size specified for either field, password field is longer.
Image => tf2.jpg .....text field given size 31 becomes longer than password field size 30
Image => tf3.jpg .....both fields size 30

Strange. I don't have this problem, and never noticed it before. Check out:

The first is a text field and the second a password field. And both are exactly the same length.

If you look closely it is a little longer. Or it looks that way to me.

If you set the border to...

style="1px solid #000000"

....you can see properly.

That's it...because adjusting the field attribute does make a positive difference in other browsers and versions of IE...
