I'm working on a little perl program where I want to implent a algorithm, finding zero-postion using Newtons method (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton's_method)

Since math ain't my love subject I have trouble coding it, I wonder if anyone done this before could show me some code of the algorithm and care to explaniation on how it works?
