Idiot's Way to Install Perl win32
Ok, I downloaded stable.zip (yes, I know that stable.tar is unix version) Well, I unsipped the stable into the following path: d:\Perl\p500503
I see a folder with label win32 which means I have the correct version!. Now , how do I install the darn thing? I see a Configure (66kb file)that indicates a MSDOS application!
All tutorial on installation have shortcommings in that they all assume that people intrested in using perl are programmers. I know where the "C" prompt is on Win NT Workstation. Please help.. Thanks...

You are much better off going to http://www.activestate.com/ and downloading perl from there. Its simple to install and works fantastic.

You are right Mark, I found www.activestate.com not long after I posted my first request. I am downloading activeperl now.
Thanks...
