I really stuck with file permissions
Hi. I was wondering how to set permissions onn files with the FTP program called WS_FPT32. I was told by a person on this board to do this.

Highlight the file or directory.
Then right mouse click, and choose chmod.

You will be presented with a box that contains 3 columns of 3 checkboxes each.

You need to choose the appropriate box for the permissions.

777 is all nine boxes checked off.
755 is all 3 in the first column, and the top & bottom one of the other two columns,
644 is the top 2 of the first column, and the top 1 of the other 2 columns
666 is the top two of all 3 columns

Now this is where I'm stuck. When I high light and right click the file or directory I want a menu comes up. But it does not have the chmod option. Please help

1. Ensure that you are selecting a file on the remote system - file list box on the right. You cannot chmod local files.

2. First select file or directory with LEFT mouse button. Then RIGHT click on the highlighted file or directory. The menu will popup and the chmod (unix) command will be near the bottom. BUT you must LEFT click first to select the file or directory.
