How to check if a URL is available...
Hi. Does anyone know a module of piece of code i can use to check if a URL is available? I.e. if a site is down, to report a dead link or something...

You use Links, don't you? Look at the code in nph-verify.cgi or Glennu's deadlink mod.

Looked at it, but can't make sense of what is going on, so its not much good for me....thanks for the suggestion though...
