hi guyz i really need some help here to get links running. Here is what i have done. C what i have done wrong

I have download ActivePerl 522 for links. Well i installed That in my WINDOWS NT SERVER in this folder: #!/usr/local/bin/perl
I download Links 2.0 and then put it in my server. Then i thought i was suppose to set the permissions for the chmod. but someone told me i didn't have to because windows does it my itself. OK well then i went to change links.cfg which it said in the readme file. Well to edit links.cfg i used Word 2000 and wordpad. After i was done i went to go c it. THe url that i saw is:
http://www.duhone.com/searchengine/cgi-bin/admin/admin.cgi
well go and c that url. It is just a much of words. THen i try to c one of the cgi file. and got the same thing. Well now i am stuck....Please tell me what i have done wrong and try to fix it.

Windows does set permissions automatically, but make sure that they are not read only. That also could be a problem with your web server.
