Has anyone checked out DCForum2K? What do you think about its use for a site with much less traffic than Gossamer?

BTW, your shouting (!) is really not necessary.

From the sample code I looked at on their site, they are using ReadParse, which right away tells me their scripts aren't very secure (this was in their "Password Authentication Script" no less).

It is a really bad script for the following reasons:

1) Insecure as Gordon mentioned.
2) Disk space and bandwidth hog.
3) Not an easily customizable script (for novice programmers).
4) Lacks a lot of features that other message board and bulletin board scripts offer.

and there are many other reasons....
