Is anyone familiar with a CGI Script and/or software solution that would provide the backend processing for credit card transactions - basically a direct link to your processing bank. There seems to be a lot of cgi scripts and software out there but it all is just a processing software. The problem is that you have to pay these networks $.50 a transaction which does not seem like much but if you are paying that for 1,000+ transactions a month, it can get costly.

Anyone know of a solution? I know that CyberCash offers web authorize but I was hoping for something more advanced and cgi / c oriented.

You might start by contacting your BANK and seeing what systems they have in place and how you can work with their systems. If you are looking for a "direct deposit" type of transaction, then finding out your BANK's systems is the best place to start.
