Is there a simple way to auto-login to a password protected directory on another site when a user clicks on a URL on my site? I have other site's permission, UserID, and password.

If you mean a .htaccess protected directory, yes, most browsers/servers will let you skip through like this:
http://user:pass@www.server.com/protected/area/

Yes, but this way ALL your visitors will know the user/pass. And the directory will not be protected anymore.
