I'm looking for a PERL Script that allows me to have a bunch of text file articles. And each day the script will automatically put the first several lines of an article (a specified number of words) on the site's home page and then create a hyperlink to the real HTML page for the article. Like so many portal sites are doing. For example:

Today in the news blahh, blahh, blahh. Bill Gates blah, blahh, blah. MicroSoft had no comment blahh, blah. Meanwhile, the software giant blah blahh, blah. MicroSoft now owns 2/3 of the world blah, blahh, blah....MORE>>

I would think this was already written somewhere. I don't want to manually cut and paste and then create the hyperlink. I've checked CGI-Resource Index but couldn't find anything.
Any suggestions?
