Hi. I am trying to create a script that will install and CHMOD files automatically. I do not intend to leave this open to the public, but it would make my (and my kind helpers) job a lot easier. I intend to create it so that it copies all of the Links 2 files over to their server, and then CHMOds them. I will also get it to copy over a program of mine that tells you the base_path etc. I have seen one program that uses the ` charachter to do a `whereis sendmail` query, and was wondering how i would be able to intergrate this into my script. Any ideas would be much apprecaited.

Use the subs in install.cgi for Links NG that detects perl and sendmail......I used this in my links installation script.
