if anyone has used use this option under linux:

use Realtime Blackhole list (RBL)

can you tell me how you've found it? did it work for you? was it good/bad?

We've used it extensively. If you are using qmail, change your startup to include:

/usr/local/bin/rblsmtpd -b -r relays.osirusoft.com -r list.dsbl.org

which is fairly safe. If you want to get a lot more spam, you can add: -r bl.spamcop.net, however we got a lot of valid users saying they were getting blackholed (due to spam abuse by their isp).

Thanks Alex - I might give it a go.

I'm using sendmail on linux - in linuxconf there's an option you can simply tick on to use it, I guess that'll achieve the same as what you're doing above?
