tried to install the newest verison of cpan

perl5.00503 -MCPAN -e "install bundle::CPAN"

GOT yes/sources/modules/03modlist.data.gz
Going to read yes/sources/modules/03modlist.data.gz
Warning: Cannot install bundle::CPAN, don't know what it is.
Try the command

i /bundle::CPAN/

to find objects with similar identifiers

can anyone help?
