iexplorer 7 & drop down boxes

iexplorer 7 & drop down boxes
I have several pages where the menu is presented as 2 drop down boxes.

The text in the boxes has changed from being the text between the <option> text </option> tags to being the text in the label. Is this just a feature of IE7?
