I don't see anything that would be funny about using a site name such as Pearl Scripts. pearl could just be a way of saying their script are valuable as people would related pearls to quality or value.

They do use the correct spelling of perl when referring to the script language.

I was referring to the way that a lot of people spell Perl incorrectly!
