Hi,

I have a Toshiba Tablet PC at home - however when I try to update XP via the 'Windows update' - it always returns back with "Failed, please go back and click Install Now again" - which of course is an endless loop...

I tried downloading the Network update file (125 MB ) - but then I get - incompatible version of Windows..?!?

Anyone have such problems - or even better - a solution?

Yes the solution is getting Mac OS X and swithing to Mac!

Q3: Can I use Windows Update with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition?

A3: Yes. Because Windows XP Tablet PC Edition is a superset of Windows XP Professional, updates are released and available on the Microsoft Windows Update Web site. This includes both Windows XP and Tablet PC Edition-specific updates.

If you notice problems after you install a Windows Update package, you can always remove a specific download. You can also use Device Driver Roll Back to remove a specific driver, or use System Restore to return all system and program settings back to their previous state.

Always install Critical Updates because they protect your computer from known security vulnerabilities.

To remove update packages:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2. Click Change or Remove Programs.
3. Click the Update that you want to remove, and then click Change/Remove.

To roll back drivers:

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Switch to Category View. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
2. Double-click the device for which you want to restore the driver.
3. Click the Driver tab, and then click Roll Back Driver.

To use System Restore, click Start, click Help and Support, and then click Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.

For more information, click Start, click Help and Support,type roll back driver or system restore, and then press ENTER.
