Setting up IMAP client, both web-based and local prog
Hi All

I'm trying to use IMAP instead of POP to see if there are any significant differences that could help manage email.

I'm starting to install SquirrelMail, a web-based email system that uses IMAP, and we use Eudora as a local client.

1. When using Eudora, it asks for "IMAP Mailbox Location Prefix." What is this? What should it look like?

We've been told to use the following, but nothing so far has made any connection to the IMAP system:

~mail/domain.com/
~username/mail

Any other suggestions?

2. Do I have to change anything else in Eudora, like SMTP server or Incoming Mail Server?

mail.mysite.com

3. I have a bunch of email addys that I check with Eudora.

Do I have to convert the whole bunch to IMAP, or can I set up this one or that one to use IMAP as I desire?

What I'm hoping is that I can do it on a per-account basis. I really don't want to convert the whole shootin' match.

4. Anyone every use SquirrelMail? Do you like it? Any issues?

Many thanks for your help Smile
