Icon in browser URL field?
hi,

just wondering how you get the little icons to display in the URL field of your browser - like the one above for the GT site?

I never noticed this until now, but it seems that (at least for me) favicon's only show up on the favorites menu. The browser's URL field just shows the generic IE icon. I'm running .NET Standard Server build 3663 and IE 6.0.3663 SP1. I don't have any other browsers installed on this cromputer so I'll have to check my main pc later.

EDIT:
when visiting a "favorite" site that has a favicon, the icon will display on the URL field, but ONLY for the exact URL that's in the favorite's list.

XP Pro, IE6 shows it. Try bookmarking GT's main page and then clicking the bookmark - it is only their main page that uses the favicon.
