Does Qmail do any header verification?
One user has a Qmail server on intranet and connects to Exim (smtp auth) to relay mails but cannot relay due to

Sender Verification failing, the exat error dished out by Exim is:

2006-07-25 13:40:23 1G5Hzi-0000Qk-LR H=(rainmail.qmaildomain.tld) [xxx.xxx.xx.xx] F= <EDITED> rejected after DATA: there is no valid sender in any header line

This is turning out to be a Qmail Vs Exim issue as the vendor who has setup Qmail on intranet is just mentioning that it's Exim issue. Why could this be an exim issue when exim is failing to find a valid sender in any header line? Obviously i can't disable that on Exim configs 9would not want to).

Is it Qmail Or Exim?

The only way this was fixed was turning "Sender Verification" on Exim off.
